Sync domains from Namecheap

Set up Namecheap API access for DomainsBoard, including IP whitelisting, so your investor inventory stays synchronized.

Last reviewed: 11 August 2026

Namecheap is common in investor portfolios. The main setup footgun is the API IP whitelist.

Setup checklist

  1. Enable API access in Namecheap.
  2. Whitelist DomainsBoard’s documented outbound sync IP.
  3. Create the connection with username + API key.
  4. Label it clearly (Namecheap — Investments).
  5. Sync and confirm counts.

If sync fails

  • Confirm the whitelist includes the IP we publish for Namecheap
  • Confirm API access is still enabled on the Namecheap account
  • Update the connection after you rotate the key

See registrar sync & tools for the broader model.

FAQ

Why does Namecheap require an IP whitelist?

Namecheap only accepts connections from IP addresses you approve. Add the IP address we publish for Namecheap, or the connection will not work.
